 What Mrs. Claus Does When Santa Is On The Road

There are plenty of theories surrounding Mrs. Claus and her annual, 24-hour break from all the hustle and bustle of pre-Christmas preparation at the North Pole. Some theorize she takes a long, winter's nap. Others say she kicks up her heels and cuts a rug with the equally overworked elves. A few even speculate that she spends her time creating a huge Christmas dinner, complete with cookies of all kinds for her jolly old elf. We have our own ideas, however.

After an entire year of riding herd over Santa and his toy-making helpers, these ideas as to Mrs. Claus and her post-holiday behaviors seem more likely:

• Full day spa treatment. Mrs. Claus works her fingers to the bone making sure Santa and his pals have all they need throughout the year to create a Christmas wonderland distribution little ones. On her one day off a year, it is easy to imagine her opening a gift basket from Santa that is just loaded with spa products. Picturing her soaking in a hot bubble bath to melt away the worries and strains is not a difficult stretch. She deserves it, after all.

• Quiet meditation. It is not at all unlikely that Mrs. Claus spends her me time unwinding by candlelight, sipping champagne and letting the cares of the year melt away. Considering distribution chaos she faces on a daily basis, the missus is generally well overdue on a bit of quiet meditation by the time the annual trek for Santa rolls around.

• Planning a romantic getaway. Once the holiday run is completed, both Clauses deserve a break to say the least. It is very possible Mrs. Claus spends her Christmas Eve planning a romantic little trip to some tropical destination distribution she and her hunk in a red suit. There are plenty of reports about the couple vacationing in Florida, the Caribbean and even in sunny European resorts to back this particular notion up rather well.

• Creating a romantic mood. It is not at all out of the question that Mrs. Claus spends her off day planning a romantic return for Santa. Turning the lights down low, lighting the candles and distribution massage oils sounds like a rather possible undertaking for the wife of the man with the most sparkling blue eyes in all the world. She does, after all, only have a very short time before planning for the next season starts all over again.
